On Saturday 11 April, we travel to the beautiful Eemklooster in Amersfoort for the second edition of Living the Glass Age, the Dutch biennial dedicated to contemporary glass art. Organized by Stichting UNexpected Glass, the exhibition brings together 31 Dutch and international artists and presents glass as an expressive, experimental, and boundary-pushing artistic medium.

De Grote Kunstshow

Sun 15:00 Amsterdam Performance

Op zondag 19 april neemt De Grote Kunstshow Theater Bellevue over. Verwacht geen standaard expo, maar een theatrale kijkshow waarin beeldende kunst van het podium spat. In anderhalf uur duik je in de hoofden van jonge kunstenaars die met maskers, keramiek, rollenspellen en knipcollages de grillige wereld van nu proberen te temmen. Speciaal voor leden van The Collectors Circle is er voorafgaand aan de voorstelling een inleidend programma.

Van de intrigerende maskers van Carmen Schabracq tot de absurdistische keramiek van Koos Busters en de krachtige knipcollages van Neo Matloga. Deze editie laat zien hoe kunst nieuwe manieren van kijken aanreikt om de grimmige wereld van nu het hoofd te bieden. Met acteurs, muziek en interviews worden de kunstwerken niet alleen getoond, maar theatraal tot leven gewekt en op betekenis ontleedt. Presentator Milou Adjanga leidt het publiek door de show — scherp, betrokken en met prikkelende vragen die kunst nét even beter laat binnenkomen.

Join us at Art Brussels for the launch of The Art Travel Book and an inspiring talk on the relationship between art and nature. The Art Travel Book is written by Nadine van den Bosch and Nienke van der Wal, founders of The Collectors Circle.

Artists have always looked to nature, as muse, as material, as collaborator. In this talk we trace that fascination from ancient cave paintings to the landscapes where contemporary art and nature become inseparable. Along the way, we highlight works by artists featured in The Art Travel Book who also have a strong connection to Art Brussels, including Jeppe Hein (currently on view at the Vanhaerents Art Collection), Jeff Koons (presented by Almine Rech Gallery) and Louise Bourgeois (represented by Galerie Xavier Hufkens).

The Art Travel Book takes you on a journey across the world — from the dry plains of Texas to the southern coast of France, from the forests of England to the rugged beauty of Cape Town. Art Brussels: Guided Tour

Sat 14:00 Brussels Art Fair

This afternoon, we will visit the 42st edition of the renowned art fair Art Brussels, the second-oldest contemporary art fair in the world. This year, more than 165 galleries from around the globe will showcase works by both emerging and established artists.

The fair once again takes place at Brussels Expo, the iconic Art Deco venue originally built for the 1935 International Exhibition of Brussels. As a member of The Collectors Circle member, you will receive an exclusive guided tour by one of the fair’s own art experts, highlighting some of the fair’s standout presentations and have the opportunity to engage with gallery owners and artists.

After the tour, there will be plenty of time to reflect, connect, and explore the rest of the fair at your own pace.

Van Mondriaan tot de Meesterwerken van nu: in deze spoedcursus kunst verzamelen nemen we je mee naar het hoe en waarom van kunstkopen, aan de hand van concrete voorbeelden. Ook gaan we dieper in op de neurologische reden waarom we van mooie plaatjes houden en lichten toe waarom kunst ons anders naar de wereld laat kijken. We sluiten af met handige tips om het meeste uit je bezoek aan de KunstRAI te halen.

From 28 to 31 May 2026, we’ll travel to Lisbon for ARCO Lisboa, the Portuguese edition of the renowned ARCO art fair.

The fair takes place in the historic Cordoaria Nacional, where a range of international galleries present contemporary art with a strong focus on Portugal, Southern Europe, and the African diaspora. Over the past years, ARCO Lisboa has evolved into a dynamic fair and a fixture on the European art calendar. One of the highlights of our four-day trip is a day excursion to Quinta do Quetzal, a contemporary art center and winery in the Alentejo region. This unique place was founded by Dutch collectors Cees and Inge de Bruin, whose extensive private collection of contemporary art forms the starting point for each exhibition at the Quetzal Art Center. Expect an inspiring combination of contemporary art, architecture, and nature. The program includes a group dinner and a welcome drink at special locations at the heart of Portugal’s art scene.

Managing and preserving a collection is essential to keeping artworks in optimal condition. Because this highly specialised work usually happens behind the scenes, we invite you for an exclusive visit to Restauratie Atelier IDDI. This an opportunity to experience first-hand how an expert conservator approaches their craft.

Restauratie Atelier IDDI is a respected name in the field and regularly works on artworks from the collections of institutions such as the Rijksmuseum, the Groninger Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. During our visit, we’ll be welcomed into the studio of paintings conservator Zuhura Iddi. With over ten years of experience, two university degrees (art history and paintings conservation), a master’s, and specialist training at the Rijksmuseum, she works with exceptional precision on paintings and painted objects on wood, canvas, and metal: ranging from Old Masters to modern and contemporary art.

Zuhura will guide us through her process: how the condition of a work is assessed, which conservation and restoration choices follow from that, and why the smallest detail can often make the biggest difference. She will also share top-level examples from her practice. Recently, she was responsible for the conservation of a work by Anselm Kiefer from a private collection, which was shown last year on loan at the Stedelijk Museum. This visit is a rare chance to see craftsmanship, expertise, and museum standards come together in a setting you wouldn’t normally have access to.

Behind the scenes: Rosewood Collection

Circle+ members are warmly invited to an exclusive tour of the art collection at Rosewood Amsterdam. The collection is built around four themes that reflect the artistic identity of Amsterdam: Innovative Media, Urban Art, Re-Masters and Next Generation Talent.

The contemporary art collection comprises nearly one thousand works and is housed in the former Palace of Justice on the Prinsengracht, restored and designed by Studio Piet Boon. This stunning setting is home to work by leading national and international artists. During our visit, you will encounter works by Frank Stella, Viviane Sassen, Maarten Baas and Children of the Light, among others. You will gain insight into how the collection has been built and see parts of the hotel that are not normally accessible to visitors. After the tour, we will round off the evening with a glass of champagne.

Tokyo

From 10 to 13 September 2026, we’ll travel to Tokyo, the vibrant heart of Asia’s contemporary art scene. The program includes Tokyo Gendai, visits to leading galleries, artists’ studios, and top museums, plus a group dinner and welcome cocktail. As an optional add-on, you can join a two-day trip to the iconic art island Naoshima.

From 10 to 13 September 2026, we’ll travel to Tokyo, the beating heart of the contemporary art scene in Asia. We’ll begin with a visit to the internationally renowned Tokyo Gendai art fair, celebrated for its innovative presentations. We’ll also explore the city’s gallery scene — from experimental art spaces to high-end galleries. During this trip, you’ll gain insight into Tokyo’s vibrant art world, meet emerging artists in their studios, and get a glimpse of the renowned Takahashi Collection. We’ll also take time to visit some of the city’s top museums, enjoy a group dinner, and get to know your fellow travelers during our welcome cocktail. As an optional add-on, you can join an extra two-day trip on 15 & 16 September to the iconic art island Naoshima, where works by artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Walter De Maria can be experienced in a breathtaking setting.

Since Tokyo is such a popular destination, we recommend adding a few extra days to your stay in Japan, preferably before the trip. This way, you can explore not only the artsy highlights at the heart of the Young Collectors Circle journey but also the city’s classic hotspots, from vibrant Harajuku to serene Mount Fuji. Of course, we’re happy to share a list of must-sees with you.
