Circle+: your personal art guide

We will start with a welcome by one of the students and then explore the graduation presentations together. Graduation exhibitions are thé place to spot young, emerging artists. This is the time when they show their work outside the context of the academy for the first time. For many gallery owners and collectors, it is therefore a regular occurrence to meet the next generation of up-and-coming artists every year.

The Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam presents the work of over 150 graduates in art and design during the Eindexament Exhibition 2026.
This Exhibition provides a platform for students to present their graduation projects and marks the beginning of a new chapter in their careers as visual artists or designers. From exuberant performances to thoughtful moments of reflection, the exhibition will engage and challenge visitors. The exhibition offers a wide range of media including film, ceramics, glass, text, photography, performance and textiles.

During the Graduation Show, they present their work to the public for the very first time – a unique opportunity for art lovers and collectors to spot emerging talent. From ceramics and painting to performance and new media, you’ll explore a wide range of disciplines and artistic approaches.

Throughout the afternoon, we’ll engage in conversations with several artists, gaining deeper insight into their creative process and the themes that drive their work.
These young makers have spent the past years developing their vision at the academy and are now ready to take their first steps into the art world. By speaking with them directly, you won’t just observe their work – you’ll experience it through the eyes of the artist.

During our visit we will hear more about the origin of this concept and how it fits into the vision of the gallery. We will then speak to three of the participating artists to gain deeper understanding of their art practice.

For these artists, participation in this show is an important kickstarter for their careers, because their work is introduced to collectors and curators. They have a chance to win the Ron Mandos Young Blood Award, the Residency Award (at AVL Mundo), the Photo Talent Award and the Public Choice Award. The work of the winner of the Young Blood Award will be included in the permanent collection of Museum Voorlinden.

Rather than focusing on a single image, Rosina is more interested in how different themes, ideas, and visuals can influence one another through the act of assembling, which mirrors life itself, where everything is interconnected and constantly shaped through interaction. This approach reflects his broader interest in how meaning can be constructed through symbiotic relationships between different fragments. Rosina is influenced by themes such as spirituality, existence, alternative histories, and image culture. His paintings move between abstraction and figuration, using a range of techniques to create atmospheric, layered, and cryptic compositions that typically contain human presence and invite deeper contemplation.

Rosina began his practice in 2020. Since then, his work has been exhibited at institutions including Museum MORE, museum Rembrandthuis, Drents Museum, and Museum Catharijneconvent, as well as Alice Amati Gallery in London, Documenta Fifteen in Kassel, Art Brussels (represented by Working Title Gallery), Stevenson Gallery in Amsterdam and more. He has been nominated for the Royal Award for Modern Painting (2022, 2023, 2024) and was awared the prize in 2026.  In 2024 he was nominated for the Volkskrant Visual Arts Prize and in the same year, he took part in the Bed Stuy Art Residency in New York City.

From 10 to 13 September 2026, we’ll travel to Tokyo, the beating heart of the contemporary art scene in Asia. We’ll begin with a visit to the internationally renowned Tokyo Gendai art fair, celebrated for its innovative presentations. We’ll also explore the city’s gallery scene — from experimental art spaces to high-end galleries. During this trip, you’ll gain insight into Tokyo’s vibrant art world, meet emerging artists in their studios, and get a glimpse of the renowned Takahashi Collection. We’ll also take time to visit some of the city’s top museums, enjoy a group dinner, and get to know your fellow travelers during our welcome cocktail. As an optional add-on, you can join an extra two-day trip on 15 & 16 September to the iconic art island Naoshima, where works by artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Walter De Maria can be experienced in a breathtaking setting.

Since Tokyo is such a popular destination, we recommend adding a few extra days to your stay in Japan, preferably before the trip. This way, you can explore not only the artsy highlights at the heart of the Young Collectors Circle journey but also the city’s classic hotspots, from vibrant Harajuku to serene Mount Fuji. Of course, we’re happy to share a list of must-sees with you.
